Steam

Saturated Steam is generated in four boilers with a total capacity of 200,000 lbs/hr. Steam is available to customers in 90PSI and 430PSI.

Electricity

Bushy Park received electricity from Dominion Energy through a single 115kV transmission line.  The power is reduced to 13.8kV and provided to customers through a dual-fed system at 480V and 2400V.

Process Water

Bushy Park is permitted to draw up to 100MGD from the Back River.  The current system design allows for a capacity of 7.1MGD.  This current capacity meets all site needs but could be expanded if needed.  The minimum pressure supplies is 70PSI.

Nitrogen

Bushy Park’s Nitrogen gas system includes bulk liquid nitrogen storage tanks with atmospheric steam evaporators that provide nitrogen gas sufficient to meet plant demands.

Wastewater

The wastewater treatment facility at Bushy Park is an above ground aerobic, activated sludge treatment system consisting of equalization, neutralization, primary treatment, biological treatment, and sludge dewatering.  The system is designed with a significant amount of flexibility in dealing with abnormal events.

Natural Gas

Bushy Park is supplied natural gas by Carolina Gas and Transmission and Dominion Energy of South Carolina.  Bushy Park has the capacity to provide up to 20,000 dT/day of natural gas.

Refrigeration

The Bushy Park refrigeration system supplies anhydrous ammonia to various locations throughout the site. The system consists of three compressors providing a total cooling capacity of 1,500 tons.

Stormwater Management

Bushy Park has an elaborate stormwater collection system located within two drainage areas. Each of the drainage areas has associated holding ponds and outfalls.

Compressed Air

Bushy Park maintains compressed air capacity of 8,000 scfm.  The compressed air system has a priority air valve.

Security

A six-foot chain link fence protects Bushy Park’s perimeter. Our professional security team carefully controls site access through manned gates, and camera-monitored, card-controlled employee gates.

Emergency Response

We provide site-wide emergency phone access, site-wide radio system with a dedicated emergency channel group for first responders, and state-of-the-art site wide public address (PA) system.

Occupational Health

Bushy Park maintains a health center on site staffed by registered nurses.  This resource allows on site companies to have access to professional medical care as needed to support their business. In addition to normal medical care such as an injury or sickness,  the staff at Bushy Park provides specific occupational health assistance with items such as annual audiogram testing, onboarding drug screening, annual flu shots, pulmonary function testing, and much more.  These services can be customized to your company’s needs.

Occupational Safety

Safety is a primary focus for Bushy Park.  Bushy Park maintains an Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC) at all hours and days of the week who can act as incident commander for fire, medical, hazardous response, and technical rescue events.  Onsite resources include a medical ambulance with advanced life support capabilities, fire, rescue and hazmat trucks, and supporting equipment.  The site is equipped with a state-of-the-art mass notification system to alert all tenants of site emergency conditions.  Bushy Park has the capability to support tenants with customized safety solutions such as rescue planning, confined space audits, shift change oversight and much more.

Storeroom

Storeroom Services maintains a wide variety of parts, safety gear, and other items in inventory so you do not have to. Specific items needed for your systems and processes may be added to storeroom inventory. Let us store it so you don’t have to.

Maintenance

Onsite Maintenance services are available for all of our industrial partners. We maintain an elite team of machinists, welders and industrial mechanics, with operations staff available 24/7.

Bushy Park is located within 30 minutes of all Charleston, SC port terminals.  Charleston’s port is the most productive port and fastest-growing in North America.  With the deepest harbor in the south Atlantic, Charleston is the only port in the southeastern United States efficiently handling fully loaded Panamax Vessels.

Major Interstates

Bushy Park is located less than 10 minutes from 1-26 and I-526. It offers international accessibility for inbound and outbound freight with a two-day truck window to the Midwest.

Onsite Railway

An existing loop track serviced by CSX is located at the Dominion Energy Power Station on the northern boundary of Bushy Park.  A two-mile rail spur extends into Bushy Park with all onsite rail movements being conducted by highly trained Bushy Park personnel for onsite customers.  Bushy Park has plans to further expand its rail capability in the near future.

Bush Park is conveniently located within 25 minutes from the Charleston International Airport.

Permit Assistance

The permitting process can feel overwhelming. Bushy Park has a team in place, from in-house experts to external engineering consultants, to assist with all types of permitting. This team manages permits for Bushy Park operations as well as several tenants on site and includes items such as hazardous waste identification, air, land disturbance, process wastewater discharge, and industrial stormwater permitting. The team at Bushy Park can guide or execute your permitting requirements.

Technical Consulting

Selecting your site for operations will require technical evaluation of many aspects from evaluating soil conditions to negotiating the best incentives for your business. Bushy Park can provide many of these resources directly through its staff or through long standing business connections with experts that can assist you. Bushy Park often provides assistance on hazardous materials assessment, air permitting, wastewater evaluation, and more.
